Palik’s story began in 1979, during an era when handcrafted footwear was a symbol of artistry and excellence. Our founder, Mani Donyavi, was deeply inspired by traditional shoemaking techniques passed down through generations of artisans. He envisioned creating footwear that stood apart for its quality and precision, using only the finest leather and materials.
Palik was born in Asia, where the craft of shoemaking was held in high regard. Under Mani’s guidance, Palik became known for producing handmade leather shoes that were not only beautiful but also built to last. By the late 1980s, Palik’s reputation for excellence began spreading beyond local markets, eventually expanding into European markets—a pivotal moment that signaled the brand’s international journey.
Phase 1: The Foundation (Since 1979)
In 2020, Palik embarked on an exciting new chapter under the leadership of Mani’s daughter, Saba Donyavi. Having inherited her father’s passion for craftsmanship and innovation, Saba launched PALIK Ltd in the UK, introducing a fresh vision for the brand. Her leadership marked a new era where Palik embraced sustainability and modern design while maintaining the family’s commitment to quality.
The brand’s relaunch brought significant recognition, including being a finalist in the Draper’s Footwear Awards 2023, one of the most prestigious awards in the footwear industry. Palik also became a proud member of the British Footwear Association, solidifying its presence as a leading player in the luxury footwear sector.
